This Week

Hi Friends
As many of you know, I was able to attend the annual JAFOWL Luncheon and meet Michelle Obama, it was very exciting and yes, she is beautiful and tall! Such a nice day was had by all. Here are a couple pictures, she laid out the President's plans for support of the Military, great place to do it.
Also this week I have added to the left side bar a running progress of how my dear friend, Jane Rodely, is doing with her fundraising efforts in the UK. She is doing a UK Cancer Research 10K run on May 9. Her brother died of cancer a few years ago and she has worked tirelessly every year to help further the research.

Cool Dog Myles...and the Vikings

So...tough way to wake up this morning, I hear Myles go 'thump' on the ground downstairs. The hardwood floors are tough any morning for him, but today proved to be especially challenging. His back right hip was still asleep and didn't get the message he needed to get up. I lay in bed listening until about 10 minutes later when I hear him struggle again and fall. So I went downstairs and poor Myles was just helpless and getting upset. I tried to get him up on his own but as he got up he just threw up and then fell back down, poor dog. I had to frantically call to Brad to come help (like 4 times, how can you sleep thru that??) anyhown once I had him, and a towel we got Myles up and outside. 30 minutes of cleaning the floors and a little of Myles and all is more or less normal again. He is here next to me in the kitchen on his bed, I am waiting to see how he does standing up again. He made it down the stairs and back; but I really have to acknowledge my baby dog is getting old. He turned 14 last Monday, but it never really seems as though he is that old. He still barks at Jackie every day, and all people bringing packages to our door. He still gets excited at the newspaper and more or less has a good stable appetite. It is hard to have someone in your house getting old, faster than you want, right before your eyes.

As this year goes on, I am sure I will update more about Myles, stand by my faithful followers.

Now...onto the football game today, go Brett Favre and the Vikings...I never thought I would be cheering for them! Although the color of their uniforms are pretty coo.

Neighborhood Winter Party

So, we had our annual Neighborhood Winter Party last night, big fun and the kids had a blast running around. It wasn't as large a turn out as usual, but still a lot of fun. As you can see from the pictures.

So, the new season of American Idol is on, it is too early to see who is really good, they are still doing auditions, but Pants on the Ground is a HUGE hit...see related video, below on the left side bar.

The First Weekend of the Year

Hi Friends!
So you would think we would do something other than put the tree away and take down the Christmas ornaments right? We did! One of our favorite events to attend and watch is the PBR; which is Professional Bull Riding. This past weekend it was up in Baltimore, so we went and saw our friend, Justin, who is the tv commentator on Versus. It was serious championship bull riding and I have attached a quick video to show you. The bull is 'Chicken on a Chain' and he is one of the best bucking bulls in history and his rider, Sean Willingham, is really quite good, but not on Sunday on Chicken on a Chain! The winner was a Brazilian named Valdiron de Oliveira, he is awesome and my favorite on the tour. If you are interested in seeing more or learning about the PBR, check out their website: www.pbrnow.com if you don't get versus anymore, like us because we have Direct TV, then you can download PBR tv and watch it from your computer. I promise you, this year it is all about the things I like and want to share with you.

For now, here is what we did yesterday, it was awesome! ICE at the Gaylord National at National Harbor is amazing and fun.
